Keplex Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Keplex mobile application (“App”), an iOS-based solar system astronomy popular science application. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and the App developer. By accessing or using Keplex, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue all use of the App immediately.
These Terms apply universally to all users globally, without limitation of geography, region, or user identity.
1. Service Description
Keplex is a standalone client-side astronomy education application developed with SwiftUI and SceneKit for iOS platforms. The core functions of the App include 3D solar system simulation, celestial orbit demonstration, galaxy system switching, astronomical knowledge manual collection, knowledge quiz exercises, and local user profile setting. All algorithm calculations, including Kepler orbit element calculation and time axis scheduling, run entirely on the user’s local iOS device.
Certain third-party SDKs (including but not limited to Alamofire, SocketIO, Facebook SDK, and AppsFlyer) exist only as unused template residues in the project code. These SDKs are not invoked, executed, or functional during App runtime. No network communication, data collection, data upload, or user behavior tracking is performed by these redundant frameworks.
2. Authorized Use License
The developer grants you a limited, personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App solely for your personal educational, learning, and entertainment purposes on your personal iOS device. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved by the developer.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App’s source code, logic, 3D resources, or built-in content;
- Use the App for commercial gain, advertising promotion, illegal activities, or any non-personal public purpose;
- Distribute, resell, rent, lease, share, or transfer the App or its functional resources to any third party;
- Tamper with, interfere with, or attempt to break the local operation logic and functional mechanism of the App;
- Violate any applicable platform rules and industry standards during the use of the App.
3. User Data and Privacy Rules
Keplex operates with a zero server-side data collection policy. The App does not collect, store, transmit, or upload any personal identifiable information, device information, usage logs, or behavioral data to any remote server or third-party service provider.
All user-generated preferences and local data, including celestial viewing settings, orbit display status, time playback records, quiz records, galaxy switching preferences, avatar editing content, and in-app virtual coin data, are stored exclusively on your local iOS device. You retain full ownership and control of all local data. Uninstalling the App will permanently erase all local data, and the developer has no ability to access, retrieve, or view any of your local data at any time.
4. Virtual Currency and In-App Purchase Terms
The App contains a virtual coin recharge entry, which serves only as a local functional stub for demonstration purposes. All virtual coins and virtual items in the App are purely virtual interactive props with no real monetary value, non-negotiable, non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash, physical goods, or external services.
All in-app purchase transactions are independently processed, verified, and recorded by Apple App Store. The developer does not collect, store, or obtain any user payment information, order details, transaction records, or billing data. Any purchase-related disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Apple’s official purchase terms and refund policies.
5. Intellectual Property Protection
All intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to program source code, software logic, interface design, 3D celestial model resources, text knowledge content, graphic icons, and visual design materials, are exclusively owned by the developer.
You may not copy, reproduce, extract, modify, disseminate, or utilize any of the App’s intellectual property resources for commercial or public use without explicit written authorization from the developer. Any unauthorized infringement of intellectual property rights will result in immediate termination of user usage rights, and the developer reserves the right to pursue corresponding legal liabilities.
6. Service Disclaimer
The astronomical data, 3D simulation effects, and popular science knowledge provided by the App are for personal learning and entertainment reference only. The developer does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or professionalism of all content. The App shall not be regarded as a professional astronomical research tool or academic basis.
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The developer does not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free execution, or full compatibility with all iOS device models and system versions. The developer shall not be liable for any local data loss, device abnormal conditions, or usage losses caused by user manual operation, system updates, or device failures.
Under no circumstances shall the developer be responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
7. Service Maintenance and Adjustment
The developer reserves the right to conduct regular maintenance, function optimization, content update, and version iteration of the App. We may adjust, modify, or terminate partial or all App functions at any time without prior notice, for technical iteration, security maintenance, or rule compliance purposes.
If you violate any clause of these Terms, the developer reserves the right to terminate your usage qualification permanently and prohibit subsequent access to the App services.
8. Revision of Terms
We reserve the right to update and revise these Terms from time to time. The revised Terms will take effect immediately upon publication in the latest App version. Your continued use of the App after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. General Provisions
These Terms are universally applicable to all global users without regional and identity restrictions. If any clause of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force and effect. No waiver of any provision of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such provision or any other provision.
